Privacy Policy

How this website handles personal data, who is responsible for it, and how to ask us to change or delete it.

Effective 8 August 2026 Applies to localforge.ai

This policy covers the localforge.ai website only. Data inside systems we build for clients is governed by the contract for that engagement — in on-premise and air-gapped deployments that data never reaches us at all.

What we collect

We do not run accounts, logins, comment forms or newsletters on this site. There is nothing to sign up for, so we hold no customer database from it. What the site does collect falls into four categories.

SourceDataWhy
Analytics (PostHog, EU region) Pages viewed, time on page, referring site, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser type, and clicks on our published email addresses To understand which pages are useful and whether people find a reason to contact us
Hosting (Cloudflare Pages) Standard server and edge logs, including IP address, user agent and requested URL To deliver the site and defend it against abuse
Web fonts (Google Fonts) Your IP address and user agent are disclosed to Google when your browser fetches the typefaces Typography. See the section below if you would rather this did not happen
Email you send us Your address, your name if you give it, and whatever you write To answer you, and to keep a record of business correspondence

Cookies and analytics

Our analytics provider is PostHog, configured to store and process data in its European Union region. It sets a cookie and a localStorage entry so that repeat visits within a browser can be recognised as the same visitor. It is not configured to build a profile of you as an identified person, and we do not upload customer lists to it.

How to opt out

What we do not do

Who else sees the data

Only the service providers that make the site work: our analytics provider, our hosting and network provider, the font service named above, and our email provider (Google Workspace, which hosts our @localforge.ai mailboxes). Each processes data on our behalf under its own terms. We disclose data to no one else unless a UAE authority compels it by law, or unless it becomes necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

Where data is processed

We are established in the United Arab Emirates. Our analytics data is held in the European Union. Hosting is delivered through a global content network, so requests are served from the point of presence nearest you. Email is processed on Google Workspace infrastructure. Some of this necessarily involves transferring data across borders; we rely on the contractual protections offered by each provider.

How long we keep it

Analytics data is retained for as long as our provider account holds it, and is deleted on request. Hosting logs are short-lived and controlled by our hosting provider. Business correspondence is kept for as long as the relationship and our record-keeping obligations require — for a licensed UAE entity that generally means several years after the last transaction.

Your rights

Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021), and under the GDPR if you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can ask us to:

Write to support@localforge.ai. We answer within thirty days. There is no charge. If you are not satisfied with our answer you may complain to the UAE Data Office, or to your local supervisory authority if you are in the EU or UK.

Children

This is a business-to-business site. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the effective date at the top and, where the change affects data already collected, say so plainly here rather than quietly revising the text.
